Terms of Use

Please read these terms carefully before using Delian Vault.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Delian Vault ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Licence

Delian Vault is distributed through the Apple Mac App Store. Your purchase grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to use the App on any Mac associated with your Apple ID, in accordance with Apple's standard Mac App Store Terms of Service.

3. What you may do

• Use the App for personal or commercial purposes.
• Store, encrypt, and manage any documents you have the legal right to possess.
• Export encrypted backups and restore them on other Macs you own.

4. What you may not do

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except as permitted by applicable law.
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App.
• Use the App to store or process material that is illegal in your jurisdiction.

5. Your responsibility for your data

Delian Vault stores your documents locally and encrypted. You are solely responsible for:

• Safeguarding your password and recovery key.
• Maintaining regular backups of your vault (via the App's export feature or your own backup strategy).
• Ensuring the legality of any documents you store.

If you lose both your password and your recovery key, your data will be permanently inaccessible. We cannot help you recover it, and we have no way to access your files.

6. No warranty

Delian Vault is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no guarantees that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developers of Delian Vault shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.

8. Updates

Your purchase includes all future updates to Delian Vault at no additional cost. Updates may add, change, or remove features. We will always preserve backwards compatibility with the existing vault format.

9. Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple through the Mac App Store. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

10. Privacy

Please read our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms. In summary: we collect nothing.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United Kingdom.
